68-year-old male construction worker with a long history of multiple myeloma, managing multiple lines of treatment including BCMA-directed CAR T therapy, alongside a history of hypertension, respiratory infections, and type 2 diabetes, now receiving talquetamab.

This is an actor portrayal of a hypothetical patient profile developed for educational purposes based on characteristics of patients with R/R MM as seen in clinical practice. The hypothetical case was co-developed by staff Medical Writers with Cancer Network/ONN.

Patient case specs:

  • 68-year-old male, construction worker, diagnosed with multiple myeloma 10 years ago
  • Initial treatment: bortezomib, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone, daratumumab, pomalidomide, dexamethasone, carfilzomib, elotuzumab and BCMA directed CAR T therapy
  • History of hypertension, respiratory infections (2 episodes of pneumonia and multiple episodes of bronchitis), type 2 diabetes – all have been managed well, active lifestyle, strong support system
  • Receives talquetamab
