You may have noticed that the issue you received last month looked a little different than what you’re used to seeing from the ONCOLOGY journal!
Dear ONCOLOGY readers,
You may have noticed that the issue you received last month looked a little different than what you’re used to seeing from the ONCOLOGY journal! I wanted to formally introduce you to the new look and feel of ONCOLOGY, and let you know what you can come to expect with this redesign.
ONCOLOGY is known as a publication dedicated to presenting review articles and commentary on the most relevant and up-to-date cancer treatment information. We will continue to publish these reviews-at an increased rate of 5 per issue-each with an accompanying commentary and a summary that puts the information into context, both from noted experts. We hope this will help our readers to get the full picture on issues in cancer care that will affect their practice.
In addition, we have also produced an assortment of new and relevant features that will appear regularly in ONCOLOGY. These include Q&As with experts in the field; Practice Matters, which deals with issues and topics relevant to running an effective oncology practice; and Comorbidity Consult, which examines how clinicians treat comorbid conditions that exist or arise in their cancer patients. In addition, you will continue to see the features you’re familiar with, such as How an Expert Approaches It, Clinical Quandaries, and Point/Counterpoint (formerly Pro/Con).
With the launch of the redesigned print journal, we have also taken steps to strengthen the connection between our print journal and our online presence at CancerNetwork.com. The print journal now includes a table of contents featuring highlights from the Cancer Network’s recent online-only articles and features. There are also links within print articles to additional relevant content on the site. Finally, to make ONCOLOGY easier to find online, we have given it a new portal on the Cancer Network, with its own URL: www.TheOncologyJournal.com. At this portal you’ll find a new digital magazine version of the journal, which facilitates the saving and printing of articles that interest you.
Our goal is to provide you with a comprehensive assortment of articles that deliver information relevant to your practice and that help you better care for your patients, and I know we will continue to do so through the new-and-improved ONCOLOGY.
